Surely you have heard about Fundae courses. Perhaps while browsing the Internet you have come across them, and you have even found out because they are free and can give you a certificate and serve as a resume.
But Do you know what I mean by Fundae courses? Or what is Fundae? Don't worry, I'll explain everything to you right now. Shall we start?
What is Fundae
Before focusing on Fundae courses, you need to understand what Fundae is. In reality, they are the acronym for State Foundation for Subsidized Training for Companies. Formerly, it had another name which was the Tripartite Foundation.
Your goal is promote professional training in the Spanish business sector. And, to this end, it collaborates with both the Public Employment Service (SEPE) and the Ministry of Labor, Migration and Social Security to create job training programs.
Although you can consider the organization as a public organization, the truth is that it is private. However, its collaboration with the Ministry of Culture and Sports means that it is considered public. In fact, its functions are included in the article 36 of Royal Decree 694/2017, of July 3, which develops Law 30/2015, of September 9, which regulates the Vocational Training System for Employment in the workplace.
One of the services that Fundae offers are its courses. If you haven't done any, you may not know them, but the truth is that they are courses focused on the unemployed, workers and self-employed to recycle their knowledge or to acquire new ones. I'll tell you about them below.
Fundae Courses
As I have told you, Fundae courses are focused on workers, the unemployed and the self-employed.
In the case of workers, they offer courses in the sector in which you are active with the aim of improving your resume, recycling content or even learning new skills. The goal? May you prosper.
The training has official accreditation and is creditable through the company. Of course, it is not unlimited, but you have up to 200 working hours to train in a year.
If you are unemployed, Fundae courses will also help you. In this case you could choose courses based on the sector in which you have been working or on any productive sector.
All courses are free and, in some cases, you can even obtain a scholarship or aid to help with travel expenses, family reconciliation...
Lastly, For the self-employed, there is also a training offer, although it is somewhat smaller than in the previous groups. The credit you have as a self-employed person is 420 euros to train you, although they do not give you the money but rather the courses you are interested in taking will be free. Of course, be careful because the limitation of hours in these means that you can barely do 2-3 short training sessions (about 60 hours each).
What are Fundae courses like?
If you have never taken a Fundae course, you may not know if it is worth it or not. From now on I tell you yes. These courses, with some exceptions, are short, an average of 60 hours, although, as I told you, sometimes you can find 100 or even 200 hours at most.
When you are interested in one of them, The first thing you should do is show your interest, For this, there are several training companies that are responsible for providing them. As long as you meet the requirements, you can contact them to see if there are places.
The training entity will ask you for documentation to process registration in the course. Normally the last payroll or the payment to Social Security if you are self-employed, DNI, Social Security. They will also send you some forms that you will have to fill out to complete everything.
Once they make sure that you can take the courses, they will register you and start. Sometimes you will get some right away, while others may take a while (not long) to take place.
Courses can be face-to-face, online or mixed. In the case of in-person sessions, there will never be more than 30 people doing them, while online, there will be up to 80.
The training is carried out with a tutor and establishing a calendar to study the different lessons that are part of the course. You can ask your tutor as many times as necessary and you will have the theory on the platform where you study (if it is online), or they will provide it to you if it is in person.
Sometimes the tutors themselves teach online classes for questions or even to go deeper into the theory, although I already told you that it is not usually the norm. In the case of face-to-face, the tutor can regulate the level of the course according to the students he or she has.
How do you obtain the title of these courses?
To obtain the certificate for that course you will need to take a series of questionnaires and a final exam. Some may ask you for one or two practical activities, although they are usually quite easy.
Now, you must be careful with the time of the course, and the fact is that, if you do not do it in the “school” period, so to speak, no matter how much you want, they will not be able to give you the title. In fact, the platform closes when the end of the course arrives and those who have not done the minimum will be left without it.
The problem is that you will have spent part of your credit for Fundae courses and you will not be able to recover it.
That's why it's important Choose carefully when to do them in order to have time. In general, they are not very deep in terms of the subject, and they can be carried out without problem. But if you want to make good use of them, it is best to leave them for when you have free time and can dedicate yourself to them.
If you are interested in taking them, you just have to go to the official Fundae website and look for the Fundae course options that it gives you. Choose the one that interests you (or several) and make the final decision based on what the training entities tell you. Do you dare to take a course?
