Gandia reactivates the campaign Consumer Checks, an initiative that allows you to buy from local businesses with a 50% direct discount applicable in cash thanks to 1:1 municipal co-financing.
The program starts this Saturday, October 25th, coincides with the World Local Trade Day and has a staff of 415.000 Euros in its fourth edition, with checks available until November 25th or while supplies last.
What are they and how do they work
Every person registered in Gandia and over 18 years of age can purchase up to four checks of 10 euros, which are redeemed for purchases equal to twice the value of the voucher.
The mechanics are simple: for every euro contributed by the consumer, the City Council adds another; for example, to use a €10 check, the purchase must be for €20 or more, so the customer pays half.
How to get them and deadlines
Checks will be available since Saturday on the municipal website. In addition, for those who prefer face-to-face care, management is enabled in the City Hall offices the following Monday and Tuesday, 9 to 14 hours.
Once issued, they must be spent within a maximum of 15 days from their acquisition. They may be purchased until November 25th or until exhausted, and the council contemplates extend deadlines if there are unused bonds.
